Minimum Qualifications:

The instructor must have all of the following:

- Passion to work as an instructor to impart technical knowledge and skill required for a business
- Technical degree from an accredited technical institution with emphasis on Mechanical / Electrical Domain
- Valuable Proficiency in English and computer.

Job/ Tasks Required: The Instructor must be able to:

- Attend & successfully complete the assigned Foundational level courses
- Attend Caterpillar Instructor Accreditation Program and get certified
- Prepare / Update foundational course materials
- Prepare & maintain the tools required for foundational courses
- Conduct foundational level courses
- Assist Advanced level instructors in course material preparation
- Assist Advanced level instructors in theory / practical sessions
- Assist in training aids preparation
- Maintain Training aids
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Comply with routine reporting requirements
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor / training Manager.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Ability, and Skills: The instructor will learn or gain a) Knowledge of:

- General knowledge of Caterpillar machine systems and components.
- Diesel or gas engine maintenance, engine systems operation and component function at basic level
- Theories and applications of Caterpillar electrical and electronic systems used in Machines / Generator sets

b) Ability to:





- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Follow safe working procedures.
- Follow clear verbal and written instructions.

c) Skills:

- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Prepare Structured presentations
- Use various types of hand and power tools safely
- Use Service Information System (SIS) & relevant Microsoft products
- Perform other related tasks and activities as directed.

Performance Standards:

- Successfully completes all the assigned training programs during the evaluation period.
- Successful completion of CIAP Level 1 Class
- Displays mechanical aptitude and ability while performing assigned tasks.
- Performs assigned duties with a high level of cooperation.
- Achieve a minimum of 95% (on an average) in course & instructor rating (Stage I Evaluation)
- Training reports are complete, legible, and submitted on time.
- No cases occur where the customers or the companys equipment is damaged due to instructors neglect or abuse.
- Prepares course materials and delivers courses according to CIAP guidelines and recommendations.
- Maintains a neat and clean work area.
- Incurs no unexcused absences or tardiness during the evaluation period.
- Abides by all company policies and procedures.
