About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer with 3-5 years of experience in creating comprehensive technical manuals, including workshop manuals, operator manuals, service bulletins, assembly instructions, knowledge objects, and schematics, primarily for automotive and agricultural equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining technical documentation that supports our engineering teams and enhances user understanding of complex machinery and systems. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of automotive and agricultural domains, capable of translating technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.

The Technical

Writer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, access engineering systems for content gathering, and ensure documentation aligns with global standards and translation requirements.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related field (BE/BTech).
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in technical writing,



preferably within the automotive or agricultural equipment domain.
- Certification in Technical Writing is an advantage.
- Familiarity with agricultural equipment, automobile parts, and components is helpful.
- Experience working with electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency in understanding 3D models, orthographic projections, and mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of automotive parts and their applications.
- Hands-on experience with tools like Windchill, Arbortext Editor, CreoIllustrate, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt quickly to new challenges.
- Strong customer handling skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.

Responsibilities

- Develop and produce detailed operators manuals, workshop manuals, assembly instructions, and related annotated topic lists (ATL) to support engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Access engineering systems such as Windchill and other digital repositories to gather relevant technical data and material for content creation.
- Update existing documentation, including ATLs, based on engineering change notices (ECNs) and latest translation requirements.
- Review draft manuals and technical content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency before publication.




- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical specifications and translate them into user-friendly manuals and schematics.
- Modify illustrations and graphics using Adobe Illustrator and other design tools to enhance clarity and visual appeal.
- Support global process initiatives and provide technical documentation support to other technical information teams.
- Maintain version control and document management standards to ensure all manuals are up-to-date and compliant with company policies.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior technical writers and team members as needed.
