Job Title: Demand Planner
Location: Gurgaon
Reports to (Position): Head-Global SCM
Department/Function: Global Supply Chain Management

Purpose of the Job: The Global Demand Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining statistical demand forecasts for our global product portfolio. The statistical demand forecast will be an input for the S&OP; process and will be key for achieving targeted inventory and service levels.

Major Responsibilities:
- Use statistical forecasting models and software tools to generate and maintain demand forecasts for our global product portfolio.
- Gather data from sales, marketing,



and finance to build demand models and identify patterns and factors influencing demand and align with business goals.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to incorporate market intelligence and promotional activities into demand forecasts.
- Monitor and evaluate demand forecasts, making necessary adjustments based on changes in market dynamics, product life cycle, and business strategies.
- Communicate forecasts to stakeholders and develop mitigation plans for any potential risks.
- Track and analyze demand planning accuracy, forecast bias, and other relevant performance metrics. Identify root causes of forecast error and work with regional teams to implement corrective actions.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in demand planning.

Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Valuable knowledge of statistical techniques used for forecasting. Understanding of SQL would be a plus.
