Job Description - SMP (Scalp Micropigmentation)

Location: Khar (American Hairline)

Reports To: Clinic Manager / HR

About the Role

An SMP Artist at American Hairline is responsible for creating natural-looking, hyper-realistic scalp micropigmentation results for clients experiencing hair thinning or baldness. The role combines artistic skill, technical precision, and an understanding of hairline aesthetics to deliver seamless, confidence-boosting transformations.

Key Responsibilities1. Consultation & Assessment
- Conduct qualified SMP consultations for clients.
- Analyse scalp condition, skin tone, hairline shape, density & prior procedures.
- Recommend the appropriate SMP style (soft hairline, broken hairline, density fill, complete SMP).
- Educate clients clearly about the process, aftercare, and expectations.

2. SMP Procedure Execution
- Perform SMP treatments with high precision using micro-needles and pigments.
- Create natural hairline designs tailored to each client’s face shape.




- Layer pigments correctly to build realistic density and gradients.
- Maintain consistent needle depth, pressure, dot size & spacing.
- Ensure sessions are smooth, pain-managed and hygienic.

3. Client Experience
- Provide a calm, professional, premium clinic experience.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect client privacy.
- Address client questions and concerns with patience and clarity.
- Guide clients on aftercare and follow-up schedules.

4. Hygiene, Safety & Documentation
- Follow all sterilization protocols, PPE, and equipment safety.
- Maintain clean treatment rooms and instruments.
- Document each client's treatment progress, pigments used, and session details.
- Follow proper waste disposal and clinic compliance guidelines.

5. Team & Training
- Coordinate with consultants, CRM, and photography team.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to upgrade skills.
