Job Requirements
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Automotive SoC Post-Silicon System Validation Engineer with robust expertise in hardware validation, embedded software, silicon bring-up, board-level debugging, and automotive system validation. The candidate will be responsible for validating complex Automotive SoC platforms, developing system-level validation strategies, debugging hardware and software interactions, and driving root-cause analysis across silicon, firmware, and board environments. The role requires hands-on experience with automotive interfaces, embedded Linux/RTOS environments, and test automation.
Experience
10+ years of experience in Post-Silicon Validation, SoC Validation, Embedded Systems, or System Validation.
Experience in complex SoC bring-up and system-level validation.
Strong hardware and embedded software debugging experience.
Key Responsibilities
Post-Silicon Validation & Bring-Up
Perform post-silicon bring-up and validation of Automotive SoCs.
Develop validation plans, test procedures, and regression strategies.
Validate CPU, memory, interconnect, peripherals, security, functional safety, power management, and clocking subsystems.
Execute feature, performance, stress, and corner-case validation.
Support silicon characterization and product readiness activities.
Hardware Debug & Lab Validation
Perform board-level debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, JTAG debuggers, and power analyzers.
Debug DDR, boot, clocks, resets, power sequencing, and peripheral interfaces.
Work with hardware teams to isolate silicon, board, and system-level issues.
Embedded Software & Firmware Validation
Develop validation applications using C/C++.
Validate bootloaders, BSPs, device drivers, firmware, RTOS, and Embedded Linux environments.
Develop automation frameworks using Python and Shell scripting.
Debug hardware-software integration issues.
Automotive Interface Validation
Validate CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, PCIe, USB, UART, SPI, I2C, DDR/LPDDR, and networking protocols.
Support ECU, MCU, ADAS, Cockpit, Gateway, and Domain Controller validation activities.
Support Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Automotive Cybersecurity requirements.
Root Cause Analysis
Investigate and debug system-level failures.
Differentiate silicon issues from RTL, firmware, software, and board-related issues.
Work closely with Design, Verification, DFT, Firmware, Software, and System Engineering teams.
Generate debug reports and drive issue closure.
