Technical Manager - Building Material Testing

Reports to: CEO

Job Responsibilities:

- Lab Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Building Material Testing Laboratory, ensuring that all tests and procedures are conducted in strict accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
- Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring continuous improvement. Provide technical guidance on material testing methodologies, including concrete, steel, aggregates, cement, and other building materials.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Client Interaction: Liaise with clients to understand their testing requirements, provide technical advice,



and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Data validation and Reports Generation : Verify that all data inputs (e.g., measurements, test results) are accurate, consistent, and reflect the true outcomes of the testing process. Monitor preparation of detailed reports and presentations based on testing outcomes for internal and client use.
- Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and procurement of testing equipment.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in building material testing, with at least 3-4 years in a leadership role.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in building material testing or quality assurance are preferred.
- Skills: Solid leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
