Key Responsibilities

- Own software architecture and system design for IoT Edge and Embedded platforms.

- Lead technical design reviews, POCs, technology evaluations, and architectural decisions.

- Develop high-performance, multi-threaded and event-driven applications for Linux/ARM/x86 (AMD) platforms.

- Build scalable edge applications using Go , C/C++ , Rust , and Python .

- Design reliable edge-to-cloud communication using MQTT , Sparkplug B , and JSON .

- Work with industrial protocols such as Modbus and CCN (preferred).

- Drive CI/CD and automation using CircleCI , including build, test, deployment, and release processes.

- Define secure device deployment and OTA update strategies using Canonical Snaps .

- Enable remote monitoring, diagnostics, fleet management, and device lifecycle management.

- Mentor engineers on architecture, design patterns, coding standards, and best practices.

- Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor to improve engineering productivity and quality.

Required Skills

- 8-10 years of embedded/edge software development experience.

- Strong proficiency in Go , C/C++ , Rust , and Python .





- Solid experience with Embedded Linux, ARM and AMD/x86 platforms.

- Expertise in concurrency, multi-threading, system debugging, and performance optimization.

- Hands-on experience with MQTT and Sparkplug B .

- Experience with CircleCI , CI/CD, automation, and source control.

- Knowledge of Canonical Snap packaging/management and OTA updates.

- Strong software architecture, system design, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.

Good to Have

- IoT/Edge Computing and industrial automation experience.

- Building Automation or HVAC Controls domain experience.

- Modbus / CCN experience.

- AWS , Azure , or GCP integration.

- Microservices and event-driven architectures.

- Secure software design for connected devices.
