Designation: Team Leader - Service Unit

Location: Mysore

Purpose of the Role: Responsible for production planning, material availability, inventory control, stores operations, and ensuring uninterrupted material flow to production while maintaining optimum inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and execute daily/weekly/monthly production plans based on demand and production requirements.
- Plan material requirements in coordination with Purchase, Production, Quality and suppliers.
- Monitor RM, WIP and FG inventory and ensure optimum stock levels.
- Ensure timely material availability to production lines and avoid line stoppages.
- Manage stores activities , including material receipt, inspection coordination, storage, issue and system transactions.
- Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical stock verification.
- Track shortages, excess inventory, ageing and slow-moving materials and initiate corrective actions.
- Coordinate with suppliers for material schedules, shortages and delivery commitments .
- Work on MRP / ERP / SAP for production planning, material planning and inventory transactions.




- Maintain FIFO / batch traceability and proper material storage practices.
- Coordinate with Logistics and Production teams for inbound and line-side material movement .
- Analyse production and inventory data and prepare MIS reports.
- Drive improvements in inventory turns, working capital, material availability and productivity .
- Ensure compliance with 5S, safety, quality and standard operating procedures within stores.

Required Experience

- 3-8 years of experience in PPC / Stores / Material Planning / Supply Chain.
- Preferably from Automotive OEM, Tier-1 or manufacturing industry .
- Experience in production planning and material planning .
- Good understanding of BOM, MRP, inventory management and material flow .
- Hands-on experience with SAP/ERP .
- Good Excel and analytical skills.
- Solid coordination skills with Production, Purchase, Quality, Logistics and suppliers.
