Knowledge:

1. 6-8+ years of experience in administering and supporting enterprise-scale MySQL and Oracle databases in 24x7 mission-critical environments.
2. Strong expertise in production support, performance tuning, troubleshooting, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery for complex database infrastructures.
3. Hands-on experience with MySQL InnoDB Cluster, Group Replication, Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate technologies.
4. Proven ability to diagnose and resolve critical database issues related to performance, replication, availability, and scalability.
5. Extensive experience in database upgrades, patching, migrations, backup & recovery, and environment management across Production, UAT, and DR environments.
6. Strong focus and hands on database security, hardening, encryption, compliance, and operational best practices.
7. Experienced in driving automation initiatives using Ansible, Shell Scripting, and Python to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
8. Excellent problem-solving, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), stakeholder management, and communication skills with the ability to work independently in high-pressure environments.

3. Design, implement, and support high availability and disaster recovery solutions using Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard, MySQL Replication, Group Replication, InnoDB Cluster, PostgreSQL Streaming Replication, and Oracle GoldenGate.
4. Plan and execute database installations, upgrades, patching, migrations, cloning, refreshes, and environment provisioning activities while ensuring minimal service disruption.

5. Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies, including failover and failback testing, to ensure business continuity and data protection.
6. Implement database security, auditing, encryption, and hardening controls to meet organizational compliance and security requirements.
7. Drive automation and operational efficiency through Ansible, Shell Scripting, and Python, including automated health checks, monitoring, alerting, backup validation, and compliance verification.

8. Create and maintain monitoring dashboards, operational runbooks, SOPs, and documentation to support stable and productive database operations.
9. Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and development teams to support deployments, troubleshoot issues, and enhance the reliability, scalability, and performance of database platforms.
10. Will have to work in rotational shifts, excluding night shift.
