Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented TDL Developer / Tally Customisation Professional to handle Tally development, customisation, implementation, troubleshooting, and ERP support.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Tally Prime / Tally ERP 9, basic knowledge of TDL (Tally Definition Language), and the ability to understand business requirements and convert them into practical Tally-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand client requirements and develop suitable Tally customisation solutions.
- Develop and customise TDL solutions for Tally Prime / Tally ERP 9.
- Modify and edit existing TDL files according to business requirements.
- Customise invoices, vouchers, reports, print formats, screens, fields, menus, and dashboards.
- Modify existing Tally reports based on client requirements.
- Develop TDL-based solutions for accounting, inventory, billing, taxation, and business reporting.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Tally customisations and TDL implementations.
- Install, configure, test, and support Tally Prime and customised TDL solutions at client locations.




- Work with TDL concepts such as collections, reports, forms, parts, lines, fields, functions, variables, and formulas.
- Test customised solutions and identify errors or compatibility issues before deployment.
- Maintain and update existing TDL customisations as per changing requirements.
- Coordinate with accounts and client-support teams to understand practical business requirements.
- Provide basic technical support and training to clients.
- Maintain proper documentation of TDL customisations, versions, changes, and client-specific requirements.
- Assist with Tally data migration, backup/restore, configuration, and multi-user setup when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Applications, IT, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of relevant experience in Tally, TDL development, or Tally customisation.
- Hands-on experience with Tally Prime or Tally ERP 9.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of TDL.
- Ability to understand and modify existing TDL code.
- Good understanding of Tally reports, vouchers, ledgers, inventory, taxation, and accounting processes.




- Ability to understand client requirements and convert them into Tally customisation requirements.
- Basic programming or scripting knowledge will be an advantage.
- Good troubleshooting and logical problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and business reporting.
- Ability to install, configure, test, and troubleshoot Tally software.
- Good communication and client-handling skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as with accounts and development teams.

Preferred Skills
- Experience as a Tally Executive, Tally Support Executive, TDL Developer, or Tally Customisation Executive.
- Experience modifying existing TDL customisations.
- Knowledge of customised invoices, reports, print formats, and voucher formats.
- Understanding of GST, accounting, inventory, taxation, and business processes.
- Experience handling multiple Tally companies or client projects.
- Knowledge of Tally integrations, APIs, XML/JSON, or third-party software is an added advantage.
- Tally certification or TDL-related training is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong learning attitude and willingness to develop advanced TDL skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to understand business requirements.
