EY is currently seeking a Data Engineer Senior to join our Tax Technology practice in India.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong database programming/ backend development experience using SQL Server/Azure SQL, writing complex queries, stored procedures, views, triggers, cursors, UDFs.
- Strong Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Datawarehouse concepts.
- Experience with the Azure Data Platform (Azure Data factory/ Databricks) is an added advantage.
- Experience on Azure data platform offerings
- Ability to effectively communicate with other team members and stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong database programming and backend development experience using SQL Server / Azure SQL.
- Expertise in:
- Complex SQL query development
- Stored Procedures
- Views
- Triggers
- Cursors
- User Defined Functions (UDFs)
1. Data Modelling & Data Warehousing
- Strong understanding of:

1. Microsoft Fabric
- Robust hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Fabric including:
- Lakehouse architecture
- Data Warehousing
- Data Pipelines
- OneLake
- Data Engineering workloads
1. ETL / Data Integration
- Experience with:
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- ETL pipeline design and implementation
- Data ingestion and transformation frameworks
1. Azure Data Platform
- Experience across Azure data services and platform offerings.
- Understanding of cloud-native data architecture and deployment patterns.
1. Data Engineering & Performance Optimization
- Ability to:
- Design and optimize databases
- Build ETL packages
- Optimize SQL workloads
- Maintain enterprise-scale data platforms
- Develop data-layer components for new and existing systems
