Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced System Administrator responsible for the maintenance, configuration, monitoring, security, and reliable operation of the organization's IT infrastructure.

The role will involve administration and support of Linux and Windows servers, Hyper-V virtualization, Docker, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365/Office 365, networking, firewalls, backup systems, and monitoring platforms.

The candidate will be responsible for infrastructure operations, troubleshooting, incident management, system availability, security, capacity planning, and coordination with internal, offshore, onshore, vendor, and client teams.

Key Responsibilities

Server & System Administration

- Manage, maintain, configure, and monitor Linux and Windows servers.
- Perform server installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
- Administer Linux platforms including RHEL, CentOS, Rocky Linux, and Ubuntu.
- Perform user and group management, permissions, process and service management.
- Troubleshoot CPU, memory, disk, filesystem, application, and service-related issues.
- Manage Windows Server environments and related services.
- Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and resource utilization.
- Analyze system and application logs and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
- Perform regular system health checks and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain proper system documentation, configuration records, and operational procedures.

Linux Administration

- Strong understanding of Linux filesystem and directory structure.
- Manage Linux users, groups, permissions, and access.
- Troubleshoot services using systemctl, ps, top, and other administration tools.
- Manage disk space, filesystems, mounts, and basic LVM.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, DNS, ports, routing, and SSH.
- Perform package installation and updates using yum, dnf, or apt.
- Develop and maintain basic Bash/Shell scripts for automation.
- Manage and troubleshoot Apache/Nginx and other Linux-based services.





Docker & Container Administration

- Install, configure, and maintain Docker environments.
- Analyze Docker container logs and troubleshoot application/container issues.
- Support Docker Compose environments.
- Monitor container CPU, memory, storage, and network utilization.

Virtualization – Hyper-V

- Manage and maintain Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
- Create, configure, and manage virtual machines.
- Allocate CPU, memory, storage, and network resources.
- Perform VM troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
- Manage virtual switches and VM networking.
- Support VM migrations, snapshots/checkpoints, and maintenance activities.
- Assist with capacity planning for the virtualization workplace.

Microsoft Entra ID & Microsoft 365

- Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Create and manage users, groups, roles, and access.
- Perform password resets and account troubleshooting.
- Manage MFA and basic Conditional Access policies.
- Manage device registration and basic identity-related troubleshooting.
- Administer Microsoft 365 / Office 365 services.
- Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 authentication, email, Teams, OneDrive, and access issues.
- Support user onboarding/offboarding and access management.

Network & Security Administration

- Maintain network integrity and availability.
- Monitor and maintain firewalls, VPN gateways, network servers, file servers, and security systems.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting involving IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, TCP/UDP, and ports.
- Manage firewall rules and access requests according to security policies.
- Monitor security alerts and coordinate with security teams.
- Support vulnerability remediation and server hardening activities.
- Ensure systems follow organizational security standards and policies.

Monitoring & Infrastructure Operations

- Monitor servers, applications, databases, network devices,



and infrastructure.
- Work with monitoring tools such as Datadog, ManageEngine OpManager, Grafana/Prometheus, or equivalent platforms.
- Respond to infrastructure alerts and incidents.
- Create and maintain monitoring thresholds and alerts.
- Perform capacity and performance analysis.
- Identify potential infrastructure issues before they impact production.
- Provide regular infrastructure health and operational reports.

Desktop & End-User Support

- Provide escalation-level support for desktop and helpdesk teams.
- Troubleshoot workstation, operating system, application, and connectivity issues.
- Support user onboarding, access provisioning, and system configuration.
- Ensure desktop and endpoint issues are resolved within agreed timelines.
- Coordinate with security and application teams for complex user issues.

Communication & Coordination

- Coordinate with onshore, offshore, internal IT, vendors, and client teams.
- Participate in technical discussions, infrastructure projects, and incident calls.
- Provide clear technical updates during incidents and maintenance activities.
- Prepare infrastructure reports, documentation, and RCA reports.
- Communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
