Job Summary

Alpha Group of Institutions is looking for a proactive and technically sound System Administrator / IT Administrator to manage campus-wide IT infrastructure, networking, ERP systems, and user support. The role is critical in ensuring smooth academic and administrative operations across classrooms, labs, and offices.

Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure & Hardware

- Administer and maintain computer labs, desktops, laptops, servers, printers, IFPS, and MFPs
- Ensure high availability and optimal performance of IT systems across classrooms, labs, and offices
- Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate breakdown repairs with vendors

Network, ISP & Security

- Manage campus LAN, Wi-Fi networks, ISP connectivity, and bandwidth utilization
- Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls, antivirus solutions, and security policies
- Ensure data security, access controls, backups, and disaster recovery procedures

Software & Applications

- Administer College ERP systems (Admissions, Attendance, Exams, Fees, HR, Payroll)
- Manage Asset Management Software and complete IT asset lifecycle
- Support LMS platforms, digital classrooms, and online examination systems

Ticketing & User Support

- Operate and monitor IT ticketing systems for issue tracking and closure
- Provide end-user support to faculty, staff, and students
- Conduct user training on systems, software, and IT best practices

Compliance & Documentation

- Maintain IT documentation, SOPs, asset registers, and licenses
- Support NAAC, UGC, AISHE, and internal/external audits
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers as per SLA

Qualifications & Experience

Education

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or related discipline

Experience

- 2-5 years of experience as a System Administrator / Network Administrator
- Experience in a college or higher-education workplace is preferred
