About the Role

We are looking for a motivated System Administration Intern to join our IT/Infrastructure team. The intern will work closely with experienced system administrators and gain hands-on exposure to server administration, user management, networking, system monitoring, troubleshooting, backups, security, and day-to-day IT operations.

This role is suitable for students or recent graduates who want to build practical skills in Linux/Windows system administration, networking, cloud infrastructure, and IT support.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows and/or Linux systems.
- Support user account creation, access management, password resets, and permissions.
- Monitor servers, system performance, storage, and network availability.
- Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, operating system, and network-related issues.
- Support routine system updates, patching, and software installations.
- Assist with system backups, recovery procedures, and data protection activities.
- Maintain IT asset, hardware, software, and infrastructure documentation.
- Support LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Assist with antivirus, endpoint security, firewall, and system security practices.
- Help maintain internal IT systems and respond to employee technical support requests.
- Work with the infrastructure team on automation and process-improvement initiatives.
- Follow organizational IT policies, security procedures, and operational standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Networking, or a related field.




- Basic understanding of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Basic knowledge of computer networks, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and VPN concepts.
- Familiarity with computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of users, groups, permissions, file systems, and system processes.
- Willingness to learn current technologies and infrastructure tools.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.

Good to Have
- Exposure to Linux commands and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of Windows Server / Active Directory.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, VirtualBox, or Hyper-V.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of Git or other version-control systems.
- Basic scripting knowledge in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Understanding of cybersecurity and system-hardening fundamentals.
- Familiarity with monitoring, ticketing, or IT service-management tools.
