Key Responsibilities

1. Subject curriculum and learning resources

- Lead the design of curriculum-aligned lesson plans, Teacher Handbooks, Student Handbooks and worksheets for the subject across relevant grades.
- Ensure resources are conceptually rigorous, pedagogically sound and usable in real government classroom conditions, not idealised ones.
- Integrate structured pedagogy, targeted instruction and multilingual considerations as defaults in the design.
- Maintain ownership of the subject-specific components of flagship products such as the Learning Equaliser series.

2. Subject assessment design

- Design baseline, formative, endline and board-readiness assessments for the subject, mapped to learning outcomes.
- Build parallel-paper protocols and learning-outcome-mapped item banks for the subject.
- Develop diagnostic tools that identify subject-specific learning gaps and inform instructional planning.
- Translate assessment data into design decisions, not only reporting outputs.

3. Teacher career development in the subject

- Design and deliver Training of Trainers modules for Master Trainers, DIET and SCERT faculty, and teacher cohorts in the subject.
- Model effective subject-pedagogy practices, including laboratory-based and inquiry-driven approaches where relevant.
- Author session plans, facilitation guides and mentoring protocols that protect content integrity through the cascade.
- Build subject-specific PLC (Professional Learning Community) materials for use at the school complex and block levels.

4. Classroom implementation and academic mentoring

- Translate resources into observed classroom practice through examples, classroom protocols, and feedback loops.




- Provide subject-specific academic mentoring to State Leads, Technical Project Officers and selected teacher cohorts.
- Diagnose where in the design-to-classroom chain the subject is losing fidelity, and redesign upstream where the source of the loss is in the design itself.

5. Quality assurance and field engagement

- Conduct quality assurance visits to assess subject-specific implementation fidelity and effectiveness.
- Evaluate adherence to academic standards, provide constructive feedback to state teams and partners, and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain a working log of recurring classroom-level issues in the subject and feed these into the next design cycle.

6. SCERT, DIET and SRG engagement

- Co-design subject-specific work with SCERTs, DIETs and State Resource Groups across programme states.
- Contribute to state-level subject frameworks, guidelines and capacity-building initiatives.
