Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) Maintenance Engineer responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring of sewage treatment plant equipment and systems. The engineer will ensure reliable plant operation, compliance with environmental standards, and proper preventive and breakdown maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and maintain STP equipment and treatment systems.
- Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of STP machinery.
- Maintain pumps, motors, blowers, compressors, agitators, valves, dosing systems, filters, and related equipment.
- Monitor plant parameters such as pH, TSS, COD, BOD, MLSS, DO, flow rate, and sludge levels.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues.
- Maintain daily operating logs, maintenance records, checklists, and equipment history.
- Coordinate with technicians, operators, electricians, and external service providers.
- Ensure proper operation of biological treatment processes such as aeration, secondary clarification, and sludge handling.
- Monitor chemical dosing systems and ensure adequate availability of treatment chemicals.
- Conduct routine inspection of equipment and identify potential failures.
- Ensure proper handling, dewatering, and disposal of sludge as per applicable procedures.




- Maintain spare-parts inventory and raise requirements for critical spares.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and statutory requirements.
- Prepare maintenance reports and communicate plant performance to management.
- Implement energy-saving and equipment-efficiency improvement measures.
- Ensure good housekeeping and safe working practices within the STP area.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in STP/ETP/WTP operation and maintenance.
- Good knowledge of pumps, motors, blowers, piping, valves, electrical panels, and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of sewage treatment processes and basic water-quality parameters.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and environmental compliance.
