(JD) - Stores Contract Labor

Department: Stores & Warehouse

Location: JSW UAV /G Square/Maheshwaram

Reporting To: Stores In-charge (Assistant Manager - Stores)

Purpose of the Role To support day-to-day warehouse and stores operations through physical handling, storage, issuance, and movement of materials while ensuring proper material identification, housekeeping, and inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

- Unload incoming materials from supplier vehicles and transporters.
- Assist in material receipt verification against Invoice, Delivery Challan (DC) and Packing List.
- Segregate materials as per category and designated storage locations.
- Report damaged, short-received, or excess material to the Stores In-charge.
- Perform physical counting of received and issued materials.
- Verify item description, quantity, and condition before storage.
- Assist stores personnel during cycle counts and annual inventory audits.
- Arrange materials in designated racks, bins, shelves, and pallet locations.
- Ensure proper stacking and storage practices to prevent material damage.
- Maintain material identification tags and location markings.
- Issue materials, tools, and consumables to production and user departments.
- Ensure correct quantity and item selection during material issue.
- Transport materials between stores, production areas, and inspection locations.
- Assist in loading, unloading, and shifting of materials using trolleys, pallet trucks, and other handling equipment.
- Issue and receive hand tools, fixtures, and equipment as directed.




- Maintain proper storage and accountability of issued tools.
- Report damaged or missing tools immediately.
- Help identify misplaced, excess, and obsolete materials.
- Segregate scrap, rejected, and damaged materials as per instructions.
- Assist in collection, storage, and disposal of scrap materials.
- Maintain 5S of stores, racks, bins, and storage areas.
- Keep aisles, walkways, and emergency exits free from obstruction.
- Follow PPE requirements and warehouse safety guidelines.
- Support 5S implementation within the stores area.

- Assistance during audits and stock verification

Qualification & Experience

- Minimum 10th Pass / 12th pass.
- 1-3 years of experience in warehouse, stores, or manufacturing stores operations.
- Basic Excel knowledge of material handling and warehouse practices.
- Fit to handle loading, unloading, and material movement activities.

- Timely unloading and storage of materials.
- Accuracy in material counting and issue activities.
- Zero material misplacement.
- Compliance with housekeeping and safety standards.
- Support in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Timely completion of assigned stores activities.
