Store Person – Interiors & Furniture Materials

We are looking for a reliable, organized, and responsible Store Person with good knowledge of interior and furniture materials, including plywood, laminates, veneers, and other related products. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling store operations, inventory, material movement, customer assistance, and coordination with different teams.

The person should have strong product knowledge, attention to detail, and a sense of complete ownership towards the store and its day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities: Inventory & Stock Management

- Maintain accurate inventory and ensure proper stock availability of all materials.
- Regularly monitor stock levels and report shortages, excess stock, damages, or discrepancies.
- Conduct physical stock checking and ensure inventory records are properly maintained.
- Organize, label, and store materials systematically for easy identification and access.

Receiving, Quality Checking & Storage
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantity against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Inspect materials for damage, defects, quality issues, and specification mismatches.
- Ensure proper unloading, handling, storage, and arrangement of materials.
- Maintain proper records of received, damaged, returned, and pending materials.

Dispatch & Order Fulfilment
- Prepare and arrange materials accurately against confirmed customer or sales orders.
- Ensure the correct material, quantity, size, design, and specification are dispatched.
- Coordinate with the delivery team for timely dispatch and delivery.
- Take responsibility for pending orders and ensure proper follow-up until completion.

Customer Assistance & Product Handling
- Assist customers in locating the required plywood, laminates, veneers, and other interior materials.
- Provide accurate basic information regarding product specifications, sizes, thicknesses, designs, and availability.
- Show customers relevant materials, samples, and available options when required.




- Coordinate with the sales team for pricing, quotations, negotiations, and commercial discussions.

Important: This role is not primarily a sales role. However, the Store Person must take complete ownership of the customer experience from the store operations side and ensure that customers receive correct information, correct materials, and smooth service. Coordination & Store Operations

- Coordinate closely with the sales, purchase, warehouse, and delivery teams.
- Ensure smooth movement of materials between receiving, storage, sales, and dispatch.
- Maintain proper communication regarding stock availability and upcoming material requirements.
- Ensure the store remains organized, presentable, clean, and operational at all times.
- Follow proper safety procedures while handling and storing materials.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the interiors, furniture materials, plywood, laminates, veneers, hardware, or related industry.
- Valuable practical knowledge of plywood, laminates, veneers, and other interior-related materials.
- Experience in inventory management, receiving, quality checking, stock organization, and dispatch.
- Ability to independently manage multiple store responsibilities.
- Basic knowledge of inventory software and record keeping.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with teams and assisting customers.
- Physically capable of supervising and handling material movement when required.

What We Expect We are looking for someone who does not simply maintain stock but takes complete ownership of the store. The person should be responsible for ensuring proper inventory, correct material handling, smooth dispatches, team coordination, and efficient day-to-day store operations with minimal supervision.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
