Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and organized Store Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the company’s material stores for interior fit-out projects. The Store Manager will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, tracking, and maintaining inventory of materials, tools, equipment, and consumables.

The ideal candidate should have experience in interior fit-out, construction, furniture, or building materials, with strong knowledge of inventory control, material handling, documentation, and coordination with project/site teams.

Key Responsibilities1. Store & Inventory Management

- Manage daily operations of the company store and ensure proper organization of all materials.
- Maintain accurate stock records for materials, consumables, tools, hardware, fixtures, and equipment.
- Monitor stock levels and identify shortages, excess stock, damaged items, and slow-moving materials.
- Ensure proper identification, labeling, coding, and systematic storage of materials.
- Implement effective inventory control procedures to minimize material loss and wastage.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile differences with system records.

1. Material Receiving & Inspection

- Receive materials from suppliers and verify quantities against purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
- Check materials for quality, specifications, dimensions, quantity, and visible damage.
- Coordinate with the Procurement and Project teams regarding shortages, incorrect materials, or damaged deliveries.
- Prepare and maintain Goods Received Notes (GRN) and other relevant documentation.
- Ensure rejected or damaged materials are properly segregated and reported.

1. Material Issuing & Site Coordination

- Issue materials to project sites based on approved Material Requisition/Material Issue Requests.
- Maintain accurate records of all material issues and returns.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Managers, Supervisors,



and Procurement teams to ensure materials are available as per project requirements.
- Track materials transferred between warehouses, projects, and sites.
- Ensure urgent project requirements are handled efficiently without compromising inventory controls.

1. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain accurate records for receipts, issues, returns, transfers, and stock adjustments.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Maintain records of damaged, obsolete, surplus, and unused materials.
- Support project teams during material reconciliation and project close-out.
- Maintain proper filing of purchase orders, delivery notes, GRNs, material requisitions, and issue notes.
- Use ERP/software systems or Excel to maintain inventory records.

1. Team Management

- Supervise storekeepers, helpers, loaders, and other store personnel.
- Allocate daily responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Ensure proper handling, stacking, loading, and unloading of materials.
- Train staff on store procedures, safety requirements, and inventory controls.
- Maintain discipline and housekeeping standards within the store.

1. Safety & Housekeeping

- Ensure materials are stored safely and appropriately according to their type and handling requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free store environment.
- Ensure proper storage of fragile, high-value, flammable, or sensitive materials.
- Follow company health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Ensure safe loading and unloading practices.

Interior Fit-Out Materials – Preferred Knowledge The candidate should preferably have experience handling materials commonly used in interior fit-out projects, such as:
- Plywood, MDF, HDF, laminates, veneers, and boards
- Timber and furniture materials




- Gypsum boards and ceiling materials
- Glass and mirrors
- Tiles, stone, marble, and other finishes
- Paints, adhesives, sealants, and chemicals
- Electrical materials and lighting fixtures
- Plumbing materials and sanitary fixtures
- Hardware, locks, hinges, handles, and accessories
- Furniture and loose fixtures
- Carpentry and fabrication consumables
- Tools, machinery, and site equipment

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 3–7 years of experience in store/warehouse management, preferably in interior fit-out or construction.
- Good knowledge of inventory management and material control procedures.
- Experience with ERP, inventory management software, or MS Excel.
- Solid documentation and reporting skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple project requirements simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to lead and supervise store personnel.
- Knowledge of material handling and warehouse safety procedures.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) The Store Manager will be evaluated based on:
- Inventory accuracy
- Material availability for projects
- Reduction in material wastage and losses
- Timely material receiving and issuing
- Stock reconciliation accuracy
- Proper documentation and record keeping
- Reduction of damaged/obsolete stock
- Store housekeeping and safety compliance
- Timely submission of inventory reports
- Effective coordination with procurement and project teams

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is organized, responsible, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to work in a fast-paced project environment. They should understand that efficient store management directly affects project timelines, material costs, and overall project profitability. Preferred experience: Interior Fit-Out / Construction / Joinery / Furniture / Contracting / Building Materials.

Pay: ₹121.51 - ₹420.14 per month
