Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Store Incharge to manage inventory operations at our Chikhali plant. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience handling stores in a construction, fabrication, or heavy engineering environment, and will be responsible for accurate stock control, timely material issuance, and coordination with purchase and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day store operations: receiving, inspection, storage, and issuance of raw materials, consumables, and finished/semi-finished goods
- Maintain accurate stock records (manual and/or software-based) and conduct regular physical stock verification
- Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, delivery challans, and material test certificates (MTCs)
- Coordinate with the Purchase team on stock levels, reorder points, and shortages to avoid production delays
- Issue materials to production/fabrication teams against proper documentation and job requirements
- Maintain proper labeling, segregation, and storage of steel sections, plates, consumables (welding electrodes, paints, fasteners) as per safety norms
- Track and report slow-moving, excess, or obsolete inventory
- Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note),



stock ledgers, and other store documentation for audit and ISO 9001:2015 compliance
- Supervise store helpers/staff and ensure valuable housekeeping and safety practices in the store area
- Support periodic stock audits and reconciliation with accounts/purchase records

Required Qualifications & Experience
- 12th pass / Diploma (Mechanical/Store Management or related field preferred)
- 3–6 years of experience as Store Incharge/Store Keeper, preferably in structural steel fabrication, PEB, construction, or heavy engineering industry
- Working knowledge of steel materials, sections, and fabrication consumables
- Familiarity with GRN, stock ledgers, and basic documentation practices
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel); exposure to inventory/ERP software is a plus
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to supervise a small team and coordinate across departments

Preferred
- Prior experience in a structural steel, PEB, or fabrication company store
- Familiarity with material handling and safety practices for steel/heavy materials

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From ₹18,000.00 per month
