Job Summary:

Role Summary (What this person will actually do)

- Own production platform stability, reliability, and incident management

- Lead SRE / Ops team handling critical production systems

- Drive incident response, RCA, and system improvements

- Ensure high availability, performance, and monitoring maturity

- Work closely with application, infra, and IAM/authentication teams

Core Responsibilities

1. 1. Production & SRE Ownership

- Manage P1/P2 incidents, escalation, and resolution

- Drive RCA, problem management, and preventive fixes

- Improve MTTR, MTTD, system reliability

1. 2. Team Leadership

- Lead and manage SRE / Ops team. Role is for full time consultant so career management for reportee’s is not required.

- Allocate work, run scrum/standups, track deliverables

- Mentor engineers and ensure operational discipline

1. 3. Cloud & Platform

- Strong experience in AWS-based environments

- Understanding of Kubernetes (EKS) and microservices architecture

- Work with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins mandatory)

1. 4. Infrastructure & Automation

- Experience with Terraform / CloudFormation

- Exposure to Ansible / scripting (Python/Shell)

- Understanding of infra provisioning and debugging issues

1. 5. Monitoring & Observability

- Hands-on with tools like:

- Prometheus / Grafana / CloudWatch / ELK

- Strong understanding of:

- Alerting, SLI/SLO,

1. 6. Incident & Change Management

- Solid experience in:

- ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem mgmt)

- Tools like ServiceNow / JIRA

1. 7. Identity & Access (Preferred but Important)

- Working knowledge of:

- Authentication & Authorization concepts

- OAuth2 / OIDC / SAML basics

- API security / token-based auth

- IAM (AWS IAM / RBAC basics)

- Exposure to tools like:

- CyberArk / Centrify / similar PAM tools (good to have)

1. 8. Domain Preference

- Banking / Financial services experience preferred

- Exposure to:

- Secure environments

- Compliance-driven systems (audit, access control)
