The Opportunity:

­­­­Summary:

The Sr. Engineer, Network will play a key role in determining, articulating, and advocating Ensemble’s architecture principles and value propositions across the IT infrastructure. This role will work with stakeholders across the organization to understand the technology strategy and help to translate that into realized solutions.

Candidate will use broad industry knowledge to help craft and maintain Ensemble’s policies and standards, ensuring that the IT Infrastructure stays relevant in an ever-evolving technology landscape. The position will work as part of a team, coordinating with Networking, Systems Administration, Cybersecurity, Interfaces, Technology leadership, and others.

This position will require occasional after-hours and weekend work. The selected candidate will be expected to attend work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineering, systems administration, and other IT teams to develop and execute the enterprise infrastructure strategy to support business goals.
- Work directly with vendors and business partners to design and implement technology solutions to meet business needs and industry best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance system reliability, efficiency, and security.
- Help to define and implement best practices for infrastructure automation, monitoring,



and performance optimization.
- Aid with infrastructure governance, ensuring compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards.
- Help guide and mentor infrastructure engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Help IT teams troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and drive root cause analysis to resolution.
- Take part in change management process by helping create and implement plans for production upgrades.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Expertise in deploying and managing network infrastructure including Cisco, Palo Alto, or similar hardware
- Technical expertise with enterprise networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, and multi-setting integrations.
- Proven project management skills at an enterprise level, from the assessment of business needs through to delivery of industry best practice solutions.
- Expertise in architecture design relating to integration of multiple technology focuses into a unified solution
- Solid troubleshooting skills within complex environments involving multiple technology teams and disciplines
- Collaboration with technology teams to ensure industry best practice and business needs are met
- Strong understanding of data analysis and monitoring solutions and methods in relation to environment monitoring, planning, and troubleshooting
- Experience working as part of a team to forecast future business needs, including budget, technology and industry trends, and business needs
- Ability and experience managing networks and other technology solutions in a hybrid environment (on premise and Cloud – Azure)
- Expertise in deploying, configuring, and supporting zero-trust networks
- Proficiency in various operating systems, network software, and utility programs
- Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods
- Advanced skills in scripting/programming in PowerShell/Python or other languages
- Advanced troubleshooting skills in Infrastructure devices and applications areas
- Experience in managing Linux and VMware is a plus
- Strong understanding of ITIL and change management
- Ability to write detailed documentation based on audit, regulatory requirements
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities
- Able to interact with senior leadership and client contacts




- Strong desire to learn and implement new technologies

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent Experience
- 10 years experience designing and deploying multi-discipline technology solutions for a medium to large enterprise environment, preferably within a healthcare setting
- Must have a strong understanding of Enterprise networks, networking/security/systems best practices, and have excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Proven experience with enterprise infrastructure design, networking, systems administration, and cybersecurity.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, experience to include research, technical writing, and documentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively and collaboratively as part of a team
