About The Client
Client is a life insurance company in India. The firm offers life insurance products targeted at individuals and groups, catering to four distinct segments: protection, children, retirement and investment plans.
Essential Job Functions:
- Analyze BRDs/FRDs and create test scenarios, test cases, and test data covering end-to-end insurance flows (New Business, Policy Servicing, Billing, Claims).
- Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing across web/mobile/portal applications; validate policy lifecycle, endorsements, renewals, cancellations.
- Execute UI and API (manual) tests, verify data integrity across systems (core policy admin, billing, CRM, DWH) and raise high‐quality defects with clear evidence.
- Own UAT readiness: support business users, triage issues, reproduce defects, and track fixes to closure across multiple environments.
- Create and maintain traceability matrices (requirements ↔ test cases ↔ defects) ensuring full coverage and auditability.
- Estimate effort, plan test cycles, manage test environments and test data, and coordinate with dev/BA/ops for dependencies and releases.
- Apply domain checks (rating, premiums, commissions, underwriting rules) and negative/edge cases; validate documents (proposals, schedules, invoices).
- Produce concise test reports/metrics (daily/exit reports), participate in release go/no‐go, and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and checklists
