We are looking for an experienced Senior Field Instrumentation Engineer with relevant experience in Field Instrumentation Engineering, Design and Project Coordination.

The candidate will be responsible for leading Field Instrumentation (FI) engineering activities, managing FI deliverables, preparing and reviewing instrument datasheets, coordinating project activities, managing customer and vendor interfaces, and guiding a team of engineers/designers.

The role requires strong hands-on knowledge of Field Instrumentation, instrument datasheets, hook-up drawings, AutoCAD, vendor technical evaluation, inspection, customer coordination and project execution.

The candidate will also support the Project Manager in planning, progress monitoring, resource coordination, deliverable tracking, technical issue resolution and timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Field Instrumentation Engineering

- Lead and execute Field Instrumentation engineering and design activities for Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Chemical and other process industry projects.
- Review P&IDs;, process data, equipment information and project specifications.
- Select and specify appropriate field instruments based on process conditions and project requirements.

- Verify process data, operating conditions, design conditions and instrument ranges.
- Ensure correct selection of instrument type, material, process connection and accessories.
- Review vendor datasheets against project specifications and approved requirements.
- Ensure datasheets are updated based on approved customer comments and design changes.
- Maintain proper datasheet revision control and status tracking.
- Coordinate with Process and other engineering disciplines to obtain missing or revised data.
- Ensure datasheet quality and completeness before customer submission.

1. FI Deliverable Planning & Progress Monitoring





- Prepare and maintain the Field Instrumentation deliverable schedule.
- Plan engineering activities based on project milestones.
- Track planned vs. actual progress of FI deliverables.

- Act as the Field Instrumentation coordination point for assigned projects.
- Coordinate with Project Manager for project planning, priorities and deliverable requirements.
- Coordinate with Process, Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, Procurement and other engineering teams for FI inputs and interfaces.
- Ensure required inputs are received on time.
- Track and close technical queries and engineering actions.

- Coordinate customer comments and ensure timely closure.
- Support project meetings and provide FI-related progress and technical updates.
- Escalate critical technical, resource or schedule issues to the Project Manager.

1. Team Leadership

- Lead and coordinate a team of Field Instrumentation Engineers and Designers.
- Allocate work based on team capability, project priority and schedule.
- Monitor individual and team deliverables.
- Review engineering work prepared by junior engineers/designers.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring.
- Conduct regular team reviews to identify technical issues and progress gaps.

- Ensure the team achieves planned engineering targets.
- Support resource planning and workload balancing.
- Maintain quality and minimize engineering rework.

1. AutoCAD & FI Design

- Robust AutoCAD skills are mandatory.

- Coordinate technical clarifications with vendors.

- Track vendor document submission and approval status.




- Coordinate with Procurement for technical issues affecting project schedule.

1. Customer & TPI Coordination

- Maintain proactive technical communication with customers, vendors and TPI agencies.
- Participate in customer technical meetings and design reviews.
- Respond to customer comments on FI deliverables.
- Coordinate technical query resolution.
- Support inspection activities with customers/TPI.
- Ensure customer/TPI comments are properly recorded, addressed and closed.

1. Inspection & Field Support

- Support inspection and testing of field instruments.
- Coordinate with vendors and TPI agencies during inspection.
- Review inspection reports and technical documentation.
