Role & responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain data engineering solutions using Microsoft Fabric including Lakehouse, Warehouse, Notebooks, Spark, and Data Pipelines.

- Build and manage data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines integrating data from databases, APIs, and files.

- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory and SSIS.

- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions for data processing and analytics.

- Manage and optimize databases using SQL Server and Azure SQL Database including performance tuning.

- Develop and maintain SSRS reports and datasets for business reporting and analytics.

- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and error handling for reliable pipelines.

- Collaborate with Data Architects, BI Developers, and application teams to design scalable data solutions.

- Follow best practices related to data governance, documentation, and performance optimization.





- Support data platform modernization and cloud migration initiatives.

Must Have & Desired Skills:

- 8+ years of experience with Data Engineering.

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Notebooks, Spark, Pipelines).

- Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server including Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, and query optimization.

- Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).

- Experience building and orchestrating pipelines using Azure Data Factory.

- Experience working with Azure SQL Database.

- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling, and ETL/ELT development.

- Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus.

- Experience with Git or CI/CD practices is desirable.
