Role Overview
As a Senior Consultant / Assistant Manager in Risk Innovation & Digital Forensics, you will deliver complex forensic and analytics engagements, taking ownership of workstreams and supporting overall project delivery. You will apply forensic methodologies, digital investigation tools, and data analytics to identify risks, support investigations, and deliver practical, evidence-based solutions, while working closely with clients and cross-functional teams
Key Responsibilities
Database Development & Data Engineering
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of data layers, ensuring scalable and efficient database architectures
Develop and optimise database solutions using SQL Server, T-SQL, and related technologies
Design and manage ETL processes using SSIS, ensuring reliable data integration and transformation across systems
Data Architecture & Engineering
Oversee data pipeline development and ensure high data quality, integrity, and performance
Optimise data models and database structures to support analytical and reporting requirements
Implement best practices for data governance, security, and performance tuning
Data Integration & Automation
Design and implement automated data workflows to support business and risk analytics use cases
Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency through automation and improved data processes
Technology & Innovation
Drive continuous improvement of data infrastructure through modern data engineering approaches
Support integration of data solutions into broader client systems and frameworks
Stakeholder Management
Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data solutions
Provide clear insights and recommendations based on data structures and outputs
Guide and review work of junior team members to ensure quality and consistency
- 3 years of experience in data engineering, database development, or data-related roles within financial services, consulting, or regulated environments
- Strong experience in database development and data engineering, including designing and maintaining data layers using SQL Server and T-SQL
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data integration, particularly using SSIS or similar tools
- Proven experience working with large datasets, ensuring data quality, integrity, and performance optimisation
- Solid understanding of data architecture, data modelling, and database design principles
- Experience supporting data-driven initiatives in risk, compliance, or regulatory environments is an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver workstreams, with ownership of data-related deliverables
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to data challenges
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and managing multiple priorities
- Proficiency in SQL Server, SSIS, and data tools, with exposure to automation or analytics tools as a plus
