Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our Pre-Sales function supporting the BFSI vertical. The ideal candidate will combine deep BFSI domain knowledge with strong solutioning, proposal management, and AI tool capabilities - working closely with Sales, Delivery, and Technology teams to shape and win complex deals. This role requires a 4-hour daily overlap with the US Sales team.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Solutioning
- Lead end-to-end pre-sales engagement for BFSI accounts - from prospect qualification through RFP/RFI response and proposal delivery.
- Develop solution narratives, business case frameworks, and value propositions tailored to BFSI client challenges.
- Collaborate with Sales and Account Management teams (with a minimum 4-hour daily overlap with the US team) to identify opportunities, define win strategies, and prepare pursuit materials.
- Conduct discovery workshops and structured interviews with prospective clients to uncover pain points and map them to solution capabilities.
- Own and contribute to the creation of client-facing artefacts: proposals, solution decks, demos, and POC documentation.
Proposal Management

- Coordinate inputs from Sales, SMEs, Legal, Finance, and Delivery teams to compile cohesive, compelling proposals.
- Maintain and continuously update a proposal content library including reusable solution descriptions, case studies, capability summaries, and BFSI-specific assets.
- Review and edit proposal content for clarity, accuracy, and alignment with client requirements and win themes.
- Track RFP timelines, manage internal review cycles, and ensure version control across proposal documents.
AI Tools & Digital Solutions
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to accelerate proposal drafting, research, summarisation,
and content generation workflows.
- Articulate AI/ML and automation-led solution propositions - including Gen AI, NLP, intelligent automation, and predictive analytics - to BFSI clients.
- Stay current with AI trends relevant to BFSI: credit risk modelling, fraud detection, customer intelligence, AML/KYC automation, and regulatory reporting.
- Support development of AI-powered demos and proof-of-concept narratives aligned to client use cases.
- Act as a bridge between technical AI teams and non-technical client stakeholders, translating capabilities into measurable business value.
Business Analysis & Requirements
- Define and document high-level business requirements, process flows, and solution blueprints during the pre-sales phase.
- Conduct gap analysis between client current state and proposed solution capabilities.
- Support transition from pre-sales to delivery by producing detailed handover documentation (BRD, solution summary, assumptions log).
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with senior business and technology stakeholders across BFSI client organisations to understand strategic priorities.
- Present and defend solutions in client meetings, orals, and executive briefings.
- Partner with internal SMEs, architects, and delivery leads to ensure solutioning feasibility and commercial viability.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 7–10 years of experience in Business Analysis, Pre-Sales, or Solution Consulting - with a minimum of 2–3 years in a pre-sales or client-facing solutioning capacity.
- Strong domain expertise in BFSI - covering areas such as retail/corporate banking, lending,
payments, insurance, wealth management, or capital markets.
- Proven experience managing or contributing to RFP/RFI responses and client proposals in a technology services or product environment.
- Demonstrable knowledge of AI/ML applications in BFSI - ability to converse credibly on use cases and business outcomes.
- Hands-on experience using AI productivity tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) in day-to-day work.
- Experience with requirement engineering artefacts: BRD, FSD, user stories, process maps, and solution blueprints.
- Proficiency in data visualisation tools (Power BI or equivalent) and collaboration platforms (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior client audiences.
- Willingness and ability to work with a 4-hour overlap with US time zones (EST/CST) on a daily basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Finance, Business, or Technology Management.
- Certifications in Business Analysis (IIBA – CBAP/CCBA) or Agile (CSPO, SAFe).
- Exposure to BFSI-specific platforms or regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel, IFRS 9, AML, open banking, core banking transformation).
- Prior experience in a product company or Big 4 / tier-1 consulting firm is an advantage.
