About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accounts Executive to join our Finance & Accounts team in Mylapore, Chennai.

The company is an Ireland-based international E-Publishing organisation, and this role will provide an opportunity to work in a qualified, international business environment and support day-to-day accounting and financial operations.

The ideal candidate should have good practical knowledge of accounting, strong attention to detail, and hands-on experience with Tally/Accounting Software and MS Excel.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain accurate books of accounts.
- Record purchase, sales, receipt, payment, journal and expense entries.
- Maintain General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable records.
- Prepare invoices and verify bills, vouchers and supporting documents.
- Perform regular Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) and ledger reconciliations.
- Monitor receivables, payables and outstanding balances.
- Maintain proper documentation of all accounting transactions.
- Assist with GST, TDS and other statutory compliance activities.
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing of accounts.
- Assist in preparation of MIS reports and financial statements.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, vendors and internal departments as required.
- Handle accounting-related communication with international/internal stakeholders when required.
- Ensure all financial records are accurate, complete and maintained in an audit-ready manner.
- Identify discrepancies and coordinate for timely resolution.
- Support the Finance Manager / Senior Accounts team in other accounting and finance activities.

Required Skills





- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Hands-on experience with Tally Prime / Tally ERP or similar accounting software.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Knowledge of GST and TDS.
- Experience in bank and ledger reconciliation.
- Good understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good English communication skills, particularly written communication.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Candidates who have worked with international clients/companies will have an added advantage.

Candidate Requirements

- Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / BBA Finance or equivalent.
- Experience: 2–5 years of relevant Accounts experience.
- Candidates should have practical exposure to day-to-day accounting operations.
- Male / Female candidates can apply.
- Candidate must be willing to work from the Mylapore office on a permanent basis.
- Very important: Candidate's current residence should be within approximately 5–10 km radius of Mylapore.
- Candidates should have a reliable commute to the Mylapore office.
- Immediate / short-notice joiners can be preferred.
