Qualification: ITI / relevant painting or fabrication experience preferred
We are looking for an experienced Spray Painter to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for surface preparation, paint application and finishing of industrial components while maintaining quality, accuracy and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare metal surfaces for painting by cleaning, grinding, sanding and removing dust, oil and rust.
- Apply primer, paint and protective coatings using spray-painting equipment.
- Mix and prepare paints according to required specifications.
- Set and operate spray-painting equipment properly.
- Ensure uniform paint thickness, smooth finish and proper coverage.
- Inspect painted surfaces for defects such as uneven coating, runs, bubbles, scratches and colour variation.
- Carry out touch-up and finishing work when required.
- Clean and maintain spray guns, hoses and other painting equipment.
- Follow production schedules and complete assigned work on time.
- Maintain proper housekeeping in the painting area.
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements, particularly when handling paints, solvents and chemicals.
Required Skills
- Practical knowledge of industrial spray painting.
- Experience in painting MS/SS or fabricated metal components preferred.
- Knowledge of surface preparation and primer/paint application.
- Ability to operate and maintain spray-painting equipment.
- Good attention to finish quality and appearance.
- Ability to identify and correct basic painting defects.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong safety awareness.
Experience Previous experience in industrial spray painting or metal-component painting is preferred.
