Company Description Unnati Child Development Clinic is a child-centered developmental therapy center in Mira Road, Thane, dedicated to helping children reach their full developmental and functional potential. The clinic provides evidence-informed therapy and support for children with developmental, sensory, behavioral, communication, and learning needs. Services include occupational therapy, sensory integration, speech and language therapy, academic support, neuro-developmental therapy, reflex integration, ADL training, handwriting and school readiness, and parent guidance and counseling.
Unnati supports children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, sensory processing difficulties, developmental delays, and other neurodevelopmental needs. The team focuses on each child’s unique strengths and aims to create a supportive setting that fosters learning, skill development, and greater independence.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Speech Language Pathologist based at Unnati Child Development Clinic’s Mumbai location.
The Speech Language
Pathologist will assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in children, and design individualized therapy plans aligned with evidence-informed practices. Daily responsibilities include conducting therapy sessions, monitoring progress, updating documentation and reports, and collaborating closely with occupational therapists, educators, psychologists, and families.
The role involves guiding parents and caregivers on home-based strategies, participating in multidisciplinary case discussions, and contributing to school readiness and communication-focused interventions.
The Speech Language
Pathologist is expected to maintain ethical standards, keep updated with current research, and support a child-friendly, inclusive environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Speech Therapy and Speech intervention across pediatric age groups.
- Candidates should possess skills in assessing and managing Communication Disorders and Language Disorders in children.
- Candidates should possess skills in evaluating and treating Dysphagia and related feeding or swallowing difficulties, where applicable.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology / Audiology from a recognized institution; RCI registration or equivalent licensure preferred.
- Experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other neurodevelopmental conditions is highly beneficial.
- Strong observational, documentation, and case management skills, with the ability to design individualized, goal-based therapy plans.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to child safeguarding, inclusive practice, and ongoing professional development through training and supervision.
