Role Description The Speech Language Pathologist role at Thanal is a full-time, in office position based in Cannanore. The professional in this role will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders, including difficulties related to dysphagia. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering therapy sessions, and monitoring progress.

The role also involves collaborating with families, caregivers, and other professionals to support holistic care, maintaining accurate clinical documentation,



and participating in awareness or community outreach activities as needed.

The Speech Language

Pathologist is expected to contribute to Thanal’s mission by improving communication and swallowing outcomes for clients and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Speech Therapy and practical management of Speech-related conditions.
- Candidates should possess skills in diagnosing and treating Communication Disorders and Language Disorders.
- Candidates should possess competence in assessing and managing Dysphagia in diverse populations.
- Relevant academic qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
- Valid professional licensure or certification as required by local regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team and communicate effectively with clients and families.
- Prior experience in clinical or community-based settings and an interest in NGO or social sector work is beneficial.
