Role Description The SOX Consultant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. The consultant will support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance activities, including documenting and assessing internal controls over financial reporting, performing walkthroughs, and testing control design and operating effectiveness. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with client stakeholders, gathering and analyzing evidence, preparing workpapers, and contributing to remediation plans for control gaps.

The role involves assisting in the development and refinement of SOX frameworks, updating process documentation,



and supporting internal and external audit requests. The SOX Consultant is expected to work closely with cross-functional teams, provide clear and concise reporting, and help drive continuous improvement in control environments.

Qualifications

- Robust understanding of SOX requirements, internal controls over financial reporting, and basic accounting principles.
- Experience in audit, risk, or compliance functions, preferably within consulting, professional services, or finance environments.
- Ability to analyze processes, identify control gaps, and recommend practical remediation measures.
- Proficiency in documentation and report writing, including process flows, control matrices, and testing workpapers.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
- Comfort with standard office productivity tools and, ideally, exposure to GRC or audit management software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CIA) are an advantage.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
