We are looking for an experienced Sound Designer to work on cinematic crime documentaries created for YouTube.

Our documentaries are built around strong storytelling, suspense, emotion, and immersive viewing experiences. We are looking for someone who understands how sound can completely transform a scene—from creating tension and anticipation to making emotional moments feel more powerful.

What We’re Looking For

We are specifically looking for candidates with professional filmmaking experience who have previously worked as a Sound Designer on:

- Movies
- TV series
- Documentaries
- OTT/web series
- High-quality cinematic productions

You should have a strong understanding of cinematic sound design, storytelling, pacing, atmosphere, and emotion through sound.

Experience Required

- Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in sound design
- Prior experience working on films, documentaries, television, or cinematic productions
- A strong portfolio/showreel demonstrating previous sound design work
- Experience designing sound for suspense, thriller, crime, or dramatic content is highly preferred

Key Responsibilities

- Create complete sound design for long-form crime documentaries
- Build cinematic atmospheres using ambience, Foley, sound effects, transitions, impacts, risers, and other sound elements
- Enhance suspense, tension, emotion, and storytelling through sound
- Work closely with video editors and the production team to understand the creative vision of every documentary
- Ensure dialogue, music, ambience, and SFX work together naturally
- Create immersive soundscapes without overpowering the narration or story
- Maintain consistency and high-quality audio throughout the documentary
- Handle sound cleanup, balancing, layering, and final sound polish where required
- Understand when not to use sound and allow silence to strengthen important moments
