SolidCAM Engineer – Aerospace Domain

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled SolidCAM Engineer with 3–6 years of hands-on experience in CAM programming and CNC machining, preferably within the Aerospace domain.

The candidate should have robust expertise in SolidCAM, CNC programming, toolpath generation, 3-axis/4-axis/5-axis machining, and machining strategy development. Experience working with complex aerospace components and precision machining will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and optimize CNC machining programs using SolidCAM.
- Create and optimize 2D/3D toolpaths for milling operations.
- Program and support 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis CNC machining.
- Generate and validate toolpaths for complex and precision components.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, feeds, speeds and machining parameters.
- Perform toolpath simulation, collision and gouge checking.
- Generate and modify G-code / NC programs for CNC machines.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T; and machining specifications.
- Develop machining strategies for aerospace components.
- Optimize machining cycles to improve productivity, tool life and component quality.
- Troubleshoot CNC programming and machining-related issues.
- Work closely with Design, Manufacturing, Production and Quality teams.
- Support prototype, development and production machining activities.
- Maintain CAM programs,



process sheets and machining documentation.

Mandatory Skills
- SolidCAM – Mandatory
- 3–6 years of hands-on CAM/CNC programming experience
- Aerospace domain experience – Important/Preferred
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining and manufacturing processes
- Good knowledge of 2D and 3D milling
- Experience with 3-axis / 4-axis / 5-axis machining
- Strong toolpath creation and optimization skills
- CNC cutting tool selection and machining parameter optimization
- Knowledge of G-code / NC programming
- Toolpath simulation and collision/gouge detection
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T;
- Experience machining complex/precision components

Preferred Aerospace Experience Candidates with experience in aerospace component manufacturing, precision machining, aircraft components, aerospace structures, or high-accuracy CNC machining will be strongly preferred.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who have hands-on SolidCAM programming experience and practical CNC machining knowledge, rather than candidates with only CAD/design experience.

Aerospace domain experience is an important requirement for this position.
