Role Description The Solar Asset Manager (O&M;) is a full-time, on-site position based in Gujarat, India, responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of utility-scale solar assets. The role involves monitoring plant performance, ensuring optimal energy generation, and coordinating corrective and preventive maintenance activities with internal teams and external service providers.

The Solar Asset

Manager will track key performance indicators, analyze technical and operational data, and implement improvement measures to maximize asset reliability and efficiency. Day-to-day tasks include managing budgets and contracts related to O&M;, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, and preparing regular reports on asset performance for senior management and stakeholders.

The role also requires close collaboration with engineering, project, and commercial teams to support long-term asset life and financial performance.

Qualifications

- Strong experience in solar plant operations and maintenance, including performance monitoring and optimization of utility-scale solar assets.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems related to PV plants, inverters, transformers, switchyards, and SCADA or other monitoring platforms.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting,



and use of MS Excel and other tools to interpret performance metrics and support decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, service contracts, maintenance schedules, and site teams while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, grid requirements, and HSE (Health, Safety, and Setting) practices for renewable energy operations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate across technical, commercial, and leadership teams.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering, preferably electrical, mechanical, or renewable energy, or a related technical discipline.
- Prior experience in solar O&M; or asset management is strongly preferred; exposure to large-scale projects in India is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Gujarat, India, travel to project locations as needed, and adapt to field conditions and dynamic operational requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- 5-8 years of experience in Solar PV Operations & Maintenance, Asset Management, or Renewable Energy Operations.
- Experience with utility-scale solar plants will be preferred.
