Role Description

We are looking for a hands-on Software Development Team Lead to lead and contribute directly to the development of a SaaS-based software platform. It is not a purely managerial role. The successful candidate must be a strong full-stack developer who is comfortable actively coding, designing solutions, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and building key parts of the platform while also coordinating and supporting the development team.

You will take ownership of day-to-day software development activities, help translate product requirements into technical solutions, coordinate development priorities, review code, support releases, and ensure that the platform remains secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable.

You will also work closely with product, QA/RA, Sales, and Customer-facing teams to understand business and customer requirements, evaluate feedback, and prioritize product improvements.

Experience developing SaaS platforms, document management systems, workflow applications, eQMS platforms, compliance software, enterprise management systems, or similar business applications would be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate the software development team while remaining hands-on with coding and technical implementation.
- Develop and maintain frontend and backend features.
- Contribute to system architecture and key technical decisions.
- Translate product requirements into transparent technical tasks and development priorities.
- Review code, resolve technical issues, and provide technical guidance and support to other developers.
- Work on APIs, databases, integrations, authentication, user roles and permissions, workflows, and document-related features.
- Develop and support AI-enabled functionality, including LLM and RAG-based integrations.
- Coordinate with Sales and Customer teams to gather feedback, understand customer needs, and prioritize development requests and product improvements.




- Coordinate testing, bug fixing, deployments, releases, and ongoing platform improvements.
- Support and improve DevOps and CI/CD processes.
- Ensure the platform is secure, reliable, scalable, and maintainable.
- Track development progress, take ownership of technical delivery, and communicate key risks, blockers, or delays.

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 4-5 years of professional software development experience, including at least 1-2 years in a technical lead or software development team leadership role.
- Strong hands-on full-stack development experience.
- Experience managing and coordinating software development projects, priorities, and releases.
- Experience with modern web applications, APIs, databases, Git, and cloud-based deployment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Technical Skills Experience with some of the following technologies and areas would be an advantage:

- AI/LLM/RAG: LLM integrations, RAG-based applications, AI APIs
- Frontend: React.js, Next.js, JavaScript, TypeScript
- Backend: Python, Django, FastAPI, Node.js
- Database: PostgreSQL
- Cloud: AWS or similar cloud platforms
- DevOps: Git, CI/CD, Docker, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes
- Testing: Pytest, Jest, Cypress, Playwright, or similar testing frameworks
- Experience in healthcare, MedTech, life sciences, or other regulated industries would be an advantage, but is not required.
