What we are Building?

Intellica is a BI + AI analytics cloud for Indian hospital chains. Hospital leadership opens it at 8am to see revenue, occupancy, and payor mix across facilities — dense fiscal comparison grids (FTD/MTD/LMTD/LYMTD) that today live in Power BI — and asks follow-up questions in plain English.

Under the hood: one metric registry, a deterministic query compiler over ClickHouse, and an LLM that translates questions into a validated intermediate representation. We are now looking to build a production grade AI native intelligence and insights product from the ground up that will service its first large customer within a few months

What You'll own?

You are the application engineer on the team — everything from the query engine to the pixel :

- The semantic core: the IR validator, the fiscal time-intelligence engine (as-of dates, month-to-date comparisons across an Apr–Mar fiscal calendar), and the compiler that turns validated IRs into parameterized ClickHouse SQL. Pure TypeScript functions with exhaustive tests — this is where a subtle date bug becomes a wrong revenue number on a CFO's screen, so we test like it matters

- The API: a NestJS service — auth/tenant context, report rendering, chat orchestration (SSE streaming), caching, audit logs.

- The frontend: React + TypeScript. Two surfaces: a virtualized pivot grid that renders 40×60 fiscal comparison matrices smoothly with Indian number formatting (₹ Cr/L), and a chat experience with streaming answers, charts, tappable clarifications, and refusals that actually help.





- The LLM plumbing : structured-output calls via OpenRouter, prompt versioning, a semantic cache, and the eval harness + CI gates that keep accuracy honest. You'll treat the LLM as a component to constrain, not a magic box

- Product decisions : We have no designer and no PM. You'll make dozens of small UX calls a week for non technical hospital executives, and you'll be right most of the time because you care how it feels

What we are looking for ?

- 4–7 years shipping production web products, with TypeScript across the stack (Node backend + React frontend) as your primary tool for at least the last 2–3 years

- You've built at least one data-heavy product surface — dashboards, reporting, analytics, admin tools with real tables and real numbers — and you know why "it renders" and "it's trustworthy" are different bars.

- Testing discipline on tricky logic. You've written the boundary-case tests nobody asked for (dates, money, pagination, permissions) because you've been burned. You can show us

- Solid SQL. You can write and reason about analytical queries (GROUP BY, window basics, date ranges) and spot why two queries disagree.

- You've used LLM APIs in production or reliable side projects — structured outputs, streaming, retries — and you're pragmatic about them





- You work well with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) and can be honest about what you verify by hand. Our small team ships at the pace it does because we use these well, with taste
