What you'll do

We are looking for a Software Engineer to contribute to the design and delivery of the Packaging and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) platform. This role will build scalable and reliable platform capabilities that enable product teams, partners, and ISVs to package, promote, and manage application assets across environments. You will work closely with Product and Engineering teams to design, implement, and deliver platform services, APIs, integrations, and workflows. You will have the opportunity to work on foundational platform capabilities in a globally distributed engineering workplace.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Engineering Manager.

Responsibility

- Design, develop, test, and deliver scalable and reliable capabilities for the Packaging and ALM platform

- Own features end to end, from understanding requirements and design through implementation and production delivery

- Design and implement backend services, APIs, integrations, and workflows using modern software and cloud technologies

- Collaborate with Product Management and partner engineering teams to understand requirements and dependencies

- Participate in design and code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices





- Identify and resolve technical issues and blockers

- Troubleshoot and resolve production and integration issues

- Contribute to the evolution of platform APIs, service contracts, and reusable frameworks

- Share technical knowledge through design discussions, documentation, and code reviews

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering

- Experience developing scalable backend services and distributed systems

- Strong understanding of software design principles and microservices

- Hands-on experience with one or more programming languages such as Node.js, C#, Java, or Go

- Experience designing and developing REST APIs and service integrations

- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

Preferred

- Experience with Packaging, ALM, deployment, or platform engineering





- Familiarity with CI/CD, release orchestration, and environment promotion

- Experience with dependency management, versioning, or artifact lifecycle management

- Exposure to event-driven architectures and messaging systems

- Experience with REST and/or GraphQL APIs

- Familiarity with observability and operational excellence practices

- Experience working with globally distributed engineering teams

- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Understanding of scalability, availability, and resiliency concepts

- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
