Role Overview

We are looking for an AWS IoT & Backend Engineer to build and manage scalable IoT solutions connecting robots/edge devices with AWS cloud and backend systems. The role involves AWS IoT Core, MQTT, backend development, telemetry pipelines, OTA updates, security, and production troubleshooting .

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and manage AWS IoT Core and MQTT-based device communication.
- Implement MQTT QoS, TLS/mTLS, X.509 certificates, and IoT policies.
- Build backend services and APIs using Python/FastAPI or Node.js/NestJS.
- Integrate AWS services including SQS, ECS/EC2, S3, ECR, Aurora PostgreSQL, IAM, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager.
- Design telemetry data pipelines, device management, and database solutions.
- Develop OTA update workflows with deployment tracking, failure handling, and rollback.
- Implement monitoring, logging, retries, security, and fault-tolerant communication.
- Work with Docker, Linux,



Terraform, Git, and CI/CD.
- Troubleshoot issues across robots, edge devices, MQTT, AWS, backend, databases, and networking.

Required Skills

- IoT: AWS IoT Core, MQTT, QoS, TLS/mTLS, X.509, IoT Policies.
- Programming: Python, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Backend: FastAPI/NestJS, REST APIs, WebSockets, Microservices.
- AWS: IoT Core, SQS, ECS/EC2, S3, ECR, Aurora PostgreSQL, IAM, CloudWatch.
- Database: PostgreSQL, SQL, database design, query optimization.
- DevOps: Docker, Linux, Terraform, Git, GitHub Actions, CI/CD.
- Security: Device authentication, certificates, IAM, access control.
- Networking: TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, Wi-Fi, basic 4G/LTE.
- Edge/Robotics: Linux-based devices, NVIDIA Jetson/Raspberry Pi is a plus.

Preferred: Experience in robotics, industrial IoT, connected devices, or edge computing .
