About the role

You will join an embedded pod working directly inside a client workplace on live production systems. This is not a maintenance role. In a single quarter you could be building product integrations, shipping a data pipeline, and standing up an AI agent for a business workflow. The pod moves fast and the client expects production quality code, not prototypes.

What we expect from you

- You write clean, production ready code and you ship it fast. You do not need heavy process to move.
- You pick up unfamiliar stacks and tools quickly and without much hand holding.
- You already use modern AI coding tools as part of your daily workflow and can show what that has done to your output.
- You are comfortable when requirements are unclear and you do not wait for a fully specified ticket to start making progress.
- You can hold a technical conversation directly with a client stakeholder, not just with your own team.

Must-have skills

- Python,



5 years hands on, including production deployment experience. FastAPI experience is a strong plus.
- JavaScript and React.js, working knowledge sufficient to build and ship UI features independently.
- Comfortable working across relational, document, or graph databases (Postgres, MongoDB, Neo4j, or similar). The specific database matters less than understanding the concepts.
- Familiarity with vector databases for AI and RAG workflows (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, or similar).
- Demonstrated use of AI tools in your development workflow, such as AI assisted coding tools, and awareness of how to apply AI capabilities within a product.
- Git and version control workflows in a team setting (branching, PRs, code review).
- Ability to design and consume REST APIs.

Good-to-have skills

- Kubernetes, container orchestration in a production environment.
- Cloud platform experience, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- CI or CD pipeline exposure.
- Exposure to data pipeline work (any tooling works, e.g. Airflow, dbt, Prefect; concepts matter more than the specific tool).
- Exposure to building AI agents or working with LLM APIs.
- Comfortable writing unit and integration tests as part of your normal workflow.
- Experience working in fast, iterative cycles (agile or otherwise) with shifting priorities.
- Prior experience working directly embedded with a client rather than purely internal teams.

What this role is not

- This is not a role for someone who prefers a fixed scope and stable domain. The problem domain changes.
- This is not an entry level supervised role. You will be expected to operate independently within a few weeks of starting.
