About The Job:

- We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Software Asset Management (SAM) L3 Lead with hands-on expertise in ServiceNow SAM Pro.

- This role involves leading a team of SAM professionals, managing daily operations, ensuring software compliance, and acting as the primary liaison for customer communications.

- The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software licensing, SAM governance, and ServiceNow platform capabilities.

Essential Job Functions:

- Lead and mentor a team of SAM analysts and specialists on handling requests, entitlements and compliance checks.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex entitlement, compliance and discovery issues.

- Engage in day-to-day SAM operations.

- Provide technical and strategic guidance to the team on SAM best practices.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for client communications and escalations.

- Identify and mitigate risks related to software usage and licensing.

- Ensure accurate software inventory, license reconciliation, usage tracking and identify cost optimization opportunities.

- Manage software requests, renewals, and true ups.

- Prepare for and support internal and external software audits.

- Conduct regular meetings, present operational and compliance reports, and manage expectations.

- Develop and refine SAM processes, policies, and documentation.

- Drive Automation and continuous improvement initiatives for SAM maturity.

Qualifications





- 7-10 years of experience in Software Asset Management with at least 3-4 years in a L3/SME capacity.

- Deep knowledge across major vendors (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, Client, etc.) and licensing models.

- Knowledge of contract management and procurement lifecycle.

- Lead and mentor a team of SAM analysts and specialists on handling requests, entitlements and compliance checks.

- Experience with ITSM/ITOM tools and integration with SAM platforms.

- ITIL, CSAM, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
