Purpose of the Role The Community Social Worker will work closely with women, young people and adolescents in community settings. The role involves community outreach, relationship-building, facilitation, casework and psychosocial support, referrals, and coordination with government and other stakeholders.

The Social Worker will contribute to creating safer, more inclusive communities and strengthening access to rights, services and support for women and young people.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct community-based outreach and engagement with women, young people andadolescents.
- Build trusting relationships with community members and local stakeholders.
- Facilitate group sessions and awareness activities with women, youth and adolescents.
- Provide casework, psychosocial support and appropriate referrals to community women.
- Identify needs, risks and vulnerabilities and support individuals to access relevant services.
- Coordinate with government departments, public services, community organisationsand other stakeholders.
- Support community mobilisation and participation in programmes and activities.
- Maintain case records, programme documentation and follow-up records.
- Make referrals and ensure appropriate follow-up with service providers and stakeholders.
- Participate in team meetings, programme planning, reviews and learning activities.
- Contribute to monitoring, reporting and documentation of community-level work.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Humanities or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in community-based work, social work, gender equality or working with marginalised communities.
- Strong understanding of gender equality, social justice and community-based approaches.
- Experience in casework, community mobilisation, facilitation and/or psychosocial support will be an advantage.
- Good communication, interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Computer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, email and online documentation/data-entry tools.
- Fluency in Marathi and Hindi is essential; working knowledge of English is preferred.
- Willingness to travel within the community and work flexible schedule when required.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
