Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Snowflake to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Snowflake, SQL, Python, ETL/ELT, Data Warehousing and Data Modelling, along with exposure to cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
- Develop and optimize data solutions using Snowflake.
- Write complex and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Work with Snowflake features such as Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Stored Procedures and Time Travel.
- Develop data transformation and ingestion processes using Python/PySpark.
- Design and implement data warehouse models, including fact and dimension tables, Star Schema and SCD.
- Perform Snowflake performance tuning, query optimization, warehouse sizing and cost optimization.
- Integrate Snowflake with various source systems, databases and cloud services.
- Implement data quality, validation, reconciliation and error-handling processes.
- Work with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or similar scheduling platforms.
- Collaborate with Data Architects, Business Analysts, Developers and other stakeholders to understand requirements.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide root-cause analysis and permanent solutions.




- Follow best practices for data security, governance, access control and data management.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment and Agile development activities.

Mandatory Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
- Strong proficiency in SQL.
- Experience in ETL/ELT pipeline development.
- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing and Data Modelling.
- Good programming experience in Python.
- Experience with Snowflake SQL / SnowSQL.
- Experience with Snowpipe, Streams and Tasks.
- Experience working with large datasets and complex data transformations.
- Positive understanding of database concepts and performance optimization.
- Experience with Git/version control.

Good to Have
- Experience with dbt.
- Experience with Apache Airflow or other orchestration tools.
- Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP.
- AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift.
- Azure services such as ADLS, Azure Data Factory and Blob Storage.
- Experience with PySpark / Apache Spark.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to Snowflake migration projects.
- Snowflake certification / SnowPro Certification is an added advantage.
