Role & responsibilities

1. SMT Production Management Manage complete SMT production activities including programming, solder paste printing, SPI, pick & place, reflow soldering, AOI, and PCB handling. Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets. Monitor machine utilization, downtime, OEE, Changeover and line efficiency. Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering teams for machine upkeep and breakdown control. Ensure implementation of process controls and SOP compliance on SMT lines. 2. Manual Insertion (MI) Operations Plan and supervise manual component insertion and PCB assembly activities. Ensure correct component placement as per BOM, drawings, and work instructions. Control soldering quality and workmanship standards. Reduce assembly defects through process improvement and operator training. Monitor manpower utilization and line balancing. 3. Testing Operations Manage functional testing, burn-in testing, and final testing activities. Ensure all products meet quality standards before dispatch to next stage. Develop and implement testing procedures and error-proofing systems. Analyze test failures and coordinate with Quality, R&D;, and Production teams for corrective actions. Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment. 4. Quality Improvement Monitor SMT defects, MI defects, and testing failures on a daily basis. Drive CAPA activities for recurring issues. Lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and Pareto Analysis. Support customer complaint investigation and closure. Improve FPY (First Pass Yield)



and reduce rejection and rework. 5. Production Planning & Control Execute production plans as per dispatch requirements. Coordinate material availability with Stores and PPC teams. Monitor WIP inventory and ensure smooth production flow. Minimize line stoppages due to material shortage or manpower issues. 6. Team Management Lead supervisors, engineers, line leaders, and operators. Conduct training programs for skill enhancement. Monitor attendance, discipline, performance, and productivity. Develop succession planning and multi-skilling within the department. 7. Process Improvement Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Poka-Yoke initiatives. Drive productivity improvement projects. Reduce cycle time, changeover time, and process losses. Optimize manpower and equipment utilization. 8. Safety & Compliance Ensure adherence to ESD, safety, and statutory requirements. Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other management system requirements.

Preferred candidate profile 8-15 years of experience in Electronics Manufacturing. Minimum 3-5 years in a leadership role managing SMT, MI, and Testing operations. Experience in Inverter, UPS, PCB Assembly, Consumer Electronics, EMS, or Power Electronics manufacturing preferred.
