Role Description The SFCC Backend Lead is a full-time remote role responsible for leading backend development on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) projects. Day-to-day tasks include designing and implementing backend features, integrations, and customizations, as well as reviewing code, ensuring adherence to SFCC best practices, and optimizing performance and security.

The SFCC Backend Lead collaborates with architects, frontend developers, QA engineers, and project managers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. The role involves guiding junior developers, providing technical mentorship, and contributing to solution design and technical documentation. The SFCC Backend Lead will also participate in troubleshooting production issues, planning release cycles,



and continuously improving development processes and standards.

Qualifications

- Strong experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) backend development, including ISML templates, controllers, pipelines, jobs, and SFCC APIs.
- Strong hands-on experience with SFRA, JavaScript, and Server-Side JavaScript.
- Strong knowledge of OCAPI, SCAPI, REST APIs, and web services
- Experience developing SFCC cartridges, controllers, scripts, jobs, services, and hooks.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce concepts, including catalog, product, basket, checkout, orders, promotions, pricing, and inventory
- Proficiency in server-side JavaScript and related web technologies, as well as experience with RESTful integrations, third-party services, and data workflows.
- Background in designing scalable, secure, and maintainable eCommerce architectures, with a solid understanding of performance optimization and caching strategies.
- Experience leading development teams, performing code reviews, mentoring developers, and enforcing coding standards and best practices.
- Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, tested code.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience with other commerce platforms is a plus.
