SEPL also operates an authorized Premium Care Service Center at Vatva GIDC, Ahmedabad, equipped to undertake service and repair work for industrial gearboxes, fluid couplings and brake motors. The service facility includes specialized equipment and testing infrastructure to support industrial service requirements.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Santram Engineers Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a technically competent and hands-on Service Engineer to join our Service Team at Vatva, Ahmedabad.

The candidate will be responsible for attending customer service requirements, troubleshooting industrial power transmission equipment, coordinating repair and maintenance activities, and ensuring timely completion of service jobs.

The role requires strong mechanical fundamentals, practical troubleshooting ability and a willingness to work at customer sites as and when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

■ Attend customer service complaints and provide timely technical support.

■ Inspect, troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to industrial gearboxes, geared motors, motors, fluid couplings, brakes, bearings and other power transmission equipment.

■ Visit customer sites for breakdown inspection, installation, commissioning,



maintenance and troubleshooting as required.

■ Identify the root cause of equipment failures and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

■ Carry out inspection, dismantling, assembly and testing of gearboxes and other power transmission equipment.

■ Coordinate with the workshop/service team for repair, refurbishment and testing of equipment.

■ Assist in installation, alignment, commissioning and performance testing of equipment at customer sites.

■ Prepare service reports, inspection reports and job completion reports after service visits.

■ Coordinate with customers regarding service requirements, job status and technical recommendations.

■ Coordinate with internal Sales, Service, Stores and Technical teams to ensure smooth execution of service jobs.

■ Maintain proper documentation of service activities, customer complaints, inspection findings and repair work.

■ Ensure service jobs are completed within the agreed timeline and quality standards.

■ Support the Sales Team with technical inputs during customer visits, inspections and product-related discussions.

■ Follow company safety procedures and maintain professional standards while working at customer sites.

REQUIREMENTS

■ Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

■ 2–5 years of experience in industrial service, maintenance, mechanical engineering or power transmission equipment.

■ Experience with gearboxes, geared motors, motors, bearings, couplings,



brakes or similar industrial equipment will be preferred.

■ Robust understanding of mechanical components, equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.

■ Hands-on experience in dismantling, assembly, inspection and troubleshooting of industrial equipment is preferred.

■ Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

■ Good communication and customer-handling skills.

■ Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings and equipment specifications.

■ Willingness to travel to customer sites within Ahmedabad, Gujarat and other locations as required.

■ Ability to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with the service and internal teams.

■ Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office and email.
