About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Service & Installation Engineer to join our Service Department. The ideal candidate will handle installation, commissioning, and servicing of robotic and automation systems, respond promptly to customer service calls, and ensure minimal disruption to customer production lines. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to work under pressure in live production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and configure robotic and automation systems at customer sites as per project requirements
- Handle all service calls and breakdown complaints, responding immediately to minimize downtime
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software/PLC-related issues in robots and automation equipment
- Ensure that servicing and troubleshooting activities do not affect or delay customer production schedules
- Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance to reduce the frequency of breakdowns
- Maintain detailed service reports, call logs, and spare parts usage records for every visit
- Coordinate with the design, production, and technical support teams for escalated or complex issues
- Provide on-site and remote technical support/training to customer operators and maintenance staff
- Manage spare parts inventory and recommend timely replacements to avoid recurring failures
- Travel to customer locations (domestic/international, as required) for installation and service visits
- Maintain strong customer relationships through professional,
timely, and effective communication
- Stay updated with the latest developments in robotics, automation, PLC, and industrial control systems
Requirements
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in installation/service of robots, automation systems, or industrial machinery
- Hands-on knowledge of robotic systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa) and PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.)
- Strong understanding of electrical panels, servo drives, sensors, and control systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under time pressure
- Willingness to travel extensively for on-site service and installation
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with customers and internal teams
Preferred Skills
- Experience with robot programming and troubleshooting (teach pendant operation, offline programming)
- Knowledge of SCADA/HMI systems
- Prior experience in a customer-facing service role within the automation/robotics industry

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
