2 Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and proactive Senior Tester with Manual testing and automation testing experience to join our Agile development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing comprehensive manual testing activities along with designing, developing, and maintaining automation test scripts using Playwright or similar automation tools to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web applications.The candidate should have strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, test case design, defect management, automation frameworks, API testing, and database validation. The role requires close collaboration with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Scrum Masters, and DevOps teams throughout the Agile Software Development Life Cycle 3. Key Responsibilities

- Manual Testing Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Create, review, and maintain test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test execution evidence.
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, and UAT support testing.
- Validate application functionality against business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Identify, document, track, retest, and close defects using defect management tools.
- Perform impact analysis for defect fixes and related functionalities.
- Maintain test documentation as per project standards.
- Provide accurate test execution status, defect status, and quality updates within sprint timelines.
- Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, and Product Owners to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement and QA best practices.
- Automation Testing Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Playwright or similar automation frameworks.
- Automate UI, regression, smoke,



and end-to-end test suites.
- Create and maintain scalable automation frameworks using best practices such as Page Object Model.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.
- Troubleshoot automation failures and fix script issues.
- Improve automation coverage, stability, execution efficiency, and maintainability.
- Support cross-browser testing and parallel test execution.
- Integrate automation tests with CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to optimize automated testing practices.
- API Testing & Database Validation
- Validate RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or automation framework-based solutions.
- Verify request and response payloads, authentication, authorization, status codes, and error handling.
- Perform basic to intermediate SQL queries for backend data validation.
- Validate database transactions and ensure data consistency across application layers.
- Agile Responsibilities
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Backlog Refinement, and Retrospectives.
- Review user stories and acceptance criteria to define test scope.
- Provide test estimates and contribute to sprint planning activities.
- Ensure testing activities are completed within sprint commitments.
- Validate completed user stories and support sprint demos.
- Identify testing risks early during backlog grooming and requirement review sessions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within Agile teams.

- Hands-on experience in creating and executing test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
- Good knowledge of functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience in defect logging, defect tracking, retesting, and closure.
- Ability to interpret business requirements and convert them into effective test cases.
- Experience with web, mobile, or enterprise application testing.
- Automation Testing Skills
- Robust hands-on experience in Playwright automation framework or similar automation tools such as Selenium.
- Experience in automation framework design and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Page Object Model framework design.
- Experience with cross-browser testing and parallel execution.
- Ability to troubleshoot and fix automation script issues.
- Exposure to CI/CD integration and DevOps testing practices.
- Programming Skills
- Java Preferred
- Python – Added Advantage
- Knowledge of TypeScript is an additional advantage, especially for Playwright-based automation.
- Tools & Platforms
- Strong working knowledge of JIRA and Xray
- Exposure to AI tools, preferably Microsoft Copilot, is preferred.

- Knowledge of API testing concepts and tools such as Postman.
- Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge for database validation.
- Exposure to performance testing using JMeter or equivalent tools is preferred.
