About The Job:

- This role suits an experienced candidate with ServiceNow ITOM Service Mapping skills.

- Primarily responsible for mapping data from various systems into ServiceNow, ensuring efficient and accurate data transfer, and supporting integrations with other tools and services.

- The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of ServiceNow modules, data transformation, and integration best practices.

Essential Job Functions:

- Design, develop, and deploy service maps, working with discovery patterns to ensure accurate representation of IT services and underlying infrastructure.

- Demonstrate strong understanding of CMDB, its structure, and its relationship to ITOM.

- Develop and implement data mapping solutions to move and integrate data between ServiceNow and external systems.

- Create mappings between different data sources and ServiceNow objects.

- Ensure data integrity and consistency during data migration and integrations.

- Assist in integrating ServiceNow with external systems through middleware, APIs, and connectors.





- Collaborate with development and integration teams to ensure seamless data flow between ServiceNow and other applications.

- Configure and customize ServiceNow modules and workflows to meet specific business requirements.

- Support configuration changes related to mapping and data transformation requirements.

- Perform unit and integration testing to ensure data flows correctly from external systems into ServiceNow.

- Validate accuracy and completeness of data after mapping and integration.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data mappings, workflows, and integrations.

- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for data mapping and integration issues.

- Work closely with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and business processes.

- Participate in ServiceNow release planning to identify mapping-related changes or upgrades.

- Monitor and optimize performance of integrations and data mappings.

- Recommend process improvements to enhance system efficiency.

Qualifications

Skills, and Experience Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of experience in ServiceNow ITOM Discovery, Service Mapping, and data integration.

- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITOM (CMDB, Service Mapping).

- Strong experience with ServiceNow integration tools like Integration Hub, REST APIs, SOAP, MID Server, and other integration technologies.

- Experience with Data Transformation tools (Import Sets, Data Sources, Transform Maps).

- Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript) for mapping and transforming data.

- Knowledge of data modelling and mapping techniques in ServiceNow.

- Familiarity with SQL and querying relational databases.





- Experience with integration protocols (REST, SOAP, FTP, SFTP).

- Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.

Skills and Certifications

- ServiceNow Certified – ITOM Discovery & Service Mapping

- ServiceNow Certified – Application Developer

- ITIL v3 Certification

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Strong presentation development and customer presentation skills

- Successful teamwork experience
