Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tableau Developer to design, build, and optimize enterprise-grade visual analytics solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate complex data into intuitive, actionable dashboards. You will champion BI best practices, tune dashboard performance, and ensure scalable data delivery across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Dashboard Design & Architecture: Architect, develop, and maintain robust, high-performance Tableau dashboards, executive scorecards, and interactive reports.
- Advanced Data Modeling: Build complex calculations, parameters, Level of Detail (LOD) expressions, sets, and user-driven dashboard actions.
- Performance Optimization: Diagnose query bottlenecks and optimize Tableau workbooks (extracts vs. live connections, calculation efficiency, rendering speed).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data engineering to define schema requirements, data models, and aggregation layers tailored for BI consumption.
- Governance & Administration: Support Tableau Server/Cloud administration, user access management, row-level security (RLS), and automated extract scheduling.
- Mentorship & Standards:



Establish enterprise visualization standards, design templates, and provide technical guidance to junior analysts and reporting teams.

Required Qualifications

- Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience developing enterprise dashboards and reporting solutions with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud.
- Advanced SQL: Strong proficiency in writing, tuning, and debugging complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures across relational databases.
- Data Modeling: Deep understanding of dimensional modeling concepts (Star and Snowflake schemas), normalization, and data warehouse structures.
- Security & Governance: Proven track record implementing row-level security, data governance frameworks, and workbook lifecycle management.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate data insights and interface directly with both non-technical business leaders and technical engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Hands-on experience querying or connecting Tableau to Snowflake (leveraging virtual warehouses, caching, and query optimization).
- Relevant certifications, such as Tableau Certified Data Analyst or Tableau Desktop Specialist.
- Familiarity with Python, R, or dbt for data preparation and pipeline workflows.
- Experience integrating BI solutions within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
